  • 15mm socket

  • 19mm socket

  • Torque Wrench

  • Large C-Clamp

  • Jack/Stands

Step 1: Raise and secure the vehicle.

Step 2: Remove the hub cap, and using your 19mm socket, remove the tire.

Step 3: Using the 15mm socket, remove the two slider bolts that hold your caliper in place.

Step 4: Use the flathead screwdriver to pry the caliper away from the rotor, giving you access to the brake pad mounts.

Step 5: Remove the worn brake pads.

Step 6: Using the 15mm socket, remove the pad bracket.

The bolts are located on the BACK of the assembly.

Step 7: Pull the rotor from the assembly.

Step 8: Slide the new rotor into place.

Step 9: Replace the pad bracket to secure the rotor.

Using the torque wrench, torque these bolts to 75 ft. lbs.

Step 10: Slide your new brake pads into the assembly.

NOTE: Be sure that the wear marker (a small tab that extends outward from the assembly is facing the OUTSIDE of the vehicle.

Step 11: Using the C-Clamp, force the piston back into the caliper.

As you slowly tighten the clamp, the piston will recede into the caliper.

Step 12: Slide the caliper into place (over the brake pads).

Step 13: Clean your caliper bolts and reinsert them into the assembly to secure the caliper.

The bolt with the bushing is the lower bolt!

Step 14: Tighten the caliper bolts and torque them to 75 ft. lbs.

Step 15: Put the tires back on the vehicle.

NOTE: Before taking the vehicle onto the road for a "test drive", be sure that you pump the brakes several times. Once out on the road, go slowly, continuing to pump the brakes when stopped. Repeat until the brake pedal is "tight".
