Tools required:

  • 6mm socket/ratchet with extension

Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

NOTE: For this installation, we'll be unplugging our sparkplug wires. We recommend changing one ignition coil at a time, then reattaching the wires before moving on to remove the next coil's sparkplug wires. Be sure to connect each wire to the SAME sparkplug it was attached to before removal!

Step 2: Disconnect the sparkplug wires (2) from the FIRST ignition coil only.

Step 3: Loosen and remove the 6mm bolts (2) that mount the ignition coil to the assembly.

Step 4: You can now lift and remove the first ignition coil.

Step 6: Mount the new ignition coil to the assembly by tightening the 6mm mounting bolts (2).

Step 7: Reattach the sparkplug wires (2) to the SAME plugs that they were attached to originally.

Step 8: Repeat this process for the 2nd and 3rd ignition coils.
