All Volvo S70 for sale Tools required:

  • T25 Torx Driver

  • 10mm wrench

  • Flathead screwdriver (small)

  • Door Panel Clip Tool (or putty knife)

Step 1: Disconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable using the 10mm wrench.

Step 2: Open the vehicle's door.

Step 3: Pry and open the small panel inside the interior door pull, exposing a T25 screw (1). Loosen and remove this screw.

Step 4: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.

Step 5: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel.

A series of retaining clips holds the panel to the door frame. You will hear them "pop" as they disengage from the door.

Step 6: Remove the interior door panel.

Step 7: Pry and remove the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting area.

Step 8: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the back of the door panel.

Step 9: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness.

Step 10: Loosen and remove the T25 mounting screws (3) that secure the side mirror to the vehicle.

NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the side mirror while removing these screws, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!

Step 11: You can now remove the side mirror.

Step 12: Mount the new side mirror by tightening the T25 screws (3).

Step 13: Connect the mirror's wiring harness.

Step 14: Reattach the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting area.

Step 15: Reattach the interior door panel.

Be sure to reconnect all wiring harnesses, tighten all retaining screws, and reattach any trim panels we removed!
