Tools required:
  • Phillips screwdriver

  • 10mm socket/ratchet

NOTE: If you DO NOT have powered mirrors, you do not need to remove the interior door panel! If you do, proceed directly to Step 1.

Step 1: Remove the Phillips screw located inside the interior door handle.

Step 2: Remove the interior door panel's bezel.

You will need to use a flathead screwdriver to disengage the locking rod attached to it.

Step 3: Using a flathead screwdriver, pry and remove the window control switch-plate. Disconnect the wiring harness attached to it.

Step 4: Pry and remove the panel located on the interior door panel's arm rest.

Step 5: Pry and remove the small triangular trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting point.

Step 6: Remove the 2 Phillips screws located behind the arm rest's trim panel.

Step 7: Using a Phillips screwdriver, turn and remove the Phillips clip near the door lock.

Step 8: You can now pull the interior door panel away from the door frame.

Remember, you'll have to LIFT it over the door lock!

Step 9: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness.

Step 10: Loosen and remove the three 10mm retaining bolts that hold the side mirror in place.

NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the side mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!

Step 11: You can now remove the side mirror.

Step 12: Feed the wiring through the door frame's opening, and mount the mirror by tightening the three 10mm retaining bolts.

Step 13: Connect the side mirror's wiring harness.

Step 14: Begin reattaching the interior door panel by re-engaging the Phillips clip and tightening the Phillips screws near the arm rest.

Step 15: Reattach the interior trim panels, and reattach the interior door handle panel. Be sure to re-engage the "opening" rod that attached to the back of the interior door handle before securing the Phillips screw!

Step 16: Reconnect the wiring harness to the window switch-plate, and reattach it to the interior door panel.

Step 17: Tighten the final Phillips screws near the interior door handle.
