How do you Change, Replace, or Install Broken 1998-2003 Dodge Durango Radiator Grille Replacement

Tools required:

  • 8mm socket/ratchet with extension

  • Flathead screwdriver

  • Vice Grips

  • Pliers


Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

Step 2: Loosen and remove the 8mm mounting bolts (11) on the TOP and BOTTOM of the BACKSIDE of the radiator grille.

Step 3: You can now remove the radiator grille from its hood mount.

Step 4: Pry and remove the bolt clips from the back of the old radiator grille.


You may need to use pliers or vice grips to remove them, as they can be difficult to remove!

Step 5: Attach these mounting clips to each of the bolt positions on the new radiator grille.

Step 6: Mount the new radiator grille to the hood mount by tightening the 8mm mounting bolts (11).
