Tools required:

  • 7mm socket/ratchet with extension

  • 8mm wrench

Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

Step 2: Using the 8mm wrench, disconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable.

NOTE: For this installation, we'll be walking you through how to replace ONE ignition coil. The process is the same for the others, though those on the DRIVER'S side of the vehicle involve removing the air intake hose (3 clamps, 2 connections). It's an easy process that takes just a few moments!

Step 3: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) that secures the ignition coil to the engine.

Step 4: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) from the ignition coil.

Step 5: You can now lift and remove the ignition coil.

Step 6: Mount the new ignition coil by tightening the 7mm mounting bolt (1).

Step 7: Connect the wiring harness (1) to the new ignition coil.

Step 8: Repeat this process for the remaining ignition coils.
