Tools required:

  • Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver, loosen the screw (1) that secures the hose clamp to the air filter casing. Slide this hose from the spout on the casing.

Step 3: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the other end of the hose. You can now remove the hose from the assembly.

Step 4: Release the clips (2) that hold the door to the air filter casing closed. Remove the air filter.

Step 5: Clean out the area. Dirt and grime are collected in this compartment, as it's the component's job!

Step 6: Insert the new air filter.

Step 7: Close the compartment by re-engaging the clips that secure the door to the casing.

Step 8: Attach both ends of the hose, and tighten the screw (1) that tightens the clamp, securing it.

Step 9: Reconnect the wiring harness (1) near the valve-cover end of the hose.
