How do you Change, Replace, or Install Broken 2003-2005 Nissan Murano Tail Light Replacement
Fits years: 2003, 2004, 2005
- 10mm socket/ratchet with extension
Step 1: Open the vehicle's tailgate.
Step 2: Remove the small plastic panel that covers the tail light's mounting screws.
This protective panel will just "snap" away from the vehicle's frame.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the two 10mm mounting bolts that secure the tail light to the vehicle.
Step 4: With a firm tug, you can now pull the tail light assembly from the vehicle.
The tail light is held in by retaining clips that "snap" into the frame. As you pull the tail light from the vehicle, you will hear these clips disengage.
Step 5: Disconnect the tail light's wiring harness.
NOTE: During tail light removal, it is common for the retaining clips to pull out with the assembly. If this is the case, be sure to remove them from the old tail light and snap them into the holes in the vehicle's frame. We will need these for our new tail light's installation! However, if your particular model has new tabs, you won't need the old ones!
Step 6: Connect the wiring harness to the new tail light assembly.
Step 7: "Snap" the new assembly into place, using the retaining clips.
Step 8: Secure the tail light assembly by tightening the two 10mm retaining bolts.
Step 9: Reattach the protective panel that covers the mounting bolts.
