All Chevrolet Malibu Mirrors for sale Tools required:
  • 10mm socket/ratchet

  • T25 Torx Driver

  • Flathead screwdriver

  • Door Panel Clip Tool (or household putty knife)

Step 1: Using a flathead screwdriver, pry and remove the small trim panel located beneath the interior door pull.

Step 2: Remove the 2 T25 Torx screws exposed by removing the door pull trim panel.

Step 3: Pry and remove the interior door handle trim plate.

Step 4: Disconnect the lock switch from the back of the door handle trim plate.

Step 5: Pry and remove the window control switch-plate.

Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harnesses on the back of the switch-plate.

Step 7: Remove the small retaining clips near the edge of the interior door panel (near the door latch). Disengage and remove these clips.

To disengage the clips, simply depress the center of the tab, and pull them from their position.

Step 8: Using the clip tool (or putty knife), gently pry the interior door panel away from the door frame.

By sliding the tool around the outer edge of the door panel, you'll feel the retaining pins. When you reach once, simply pry outward to disengage it from the door frame.

Step 9: Remove the small triangular trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting area.

Step 10: Lift and remove the interior door panel.

Step 11: Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the door panel.

Step 12: Disconnect the wiring harness that powers the side mirror.

Step 13: Loosen and remove the three 10mm retaining bolts that hold the mirror to the door.

NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!

Step 14: Feed the wiring through the opening in the door frame, and mount the mirror by tightening the three 10mm retaining bolts.

Step 15: Connect the mirror's wiring harness.

Step 16: Reconnect the wiring leads to the back of the interior door panel. Reattach the triangular trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting point.

Step 17: Reattach the interior door panel by re-engaging the retaining clips and tightening the T25 Torx screws.

Step 18: Reconnect the wiring harness to the window control switch-plate.

Step 19: Finalize the door panel installation by reattaching all necessary trim panels.
