- 7mm socket/ratchet with extension
- 10mm socket/ratchet with extension
- Flathead screwdriver
- Phillips screwdriver
Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.
Step 2: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolts (3) lining the TOP of the grille (only on the side you're replacing).
We don't need to fully remove the grille. Instead, we only need the ability to PULL outward on it a bit during headlight removal (creating some room).
Step 3: Remove the retaining pins (2) and screws (2) inside the wheel well. Pull back the wheel well liner to expose the back of the assembly. Loosen and remove the 10mm bolt (1) on the back of the headlight.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (2) located on TOP of the headlight.
Step 5: You can now pull the headlight from the vehicle.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harnesses (2) from the back of the headlight.
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement headlight assembly from Go-Parts, it likely includes new sockets and bulbs, as most of our models do. This saves you an installation step! However, if your particular model does not, simply twist the sockets COUNTER CLOCKWISE to remove them from the assembly.
Step 7: Connect the wiring harnesses (2) to the back of the NEW headlight assembly.
Step 8: Mount the headlight to the vehicle by tightening the 10mm bolts (3).
Step 9: Reattach the wheel well liner by tightening the screws (2) and engaging the retaining pins (2).
Step 10: Reattach the grille by tightening the 7mm bolts (3).
