- 10mm socket/ratchet with extension
- Panel Popper Tool (or flathead screwdriver
Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.
Step 2: Pry and remove the retaining pins (6) that line the TOP of the front bumper cover/grille.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (1 per side) located INSIDE the front wheel well.
These bolts are located where the quarter panel meets the front bumper cover.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (8) that line the UNDERSIDE of the front bumper cover.
Two of these bolts are at the BOTTOM CORNERS of the front bumper cover. They can be difficult to see initially! You have to pull down the protective panel to expose the final 2 bolts.
Step 5: You can now pry and remove the front bumper cover.
Step 6: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (3) that secure the headlight assembly to the vehicle.
Step 7: You can now pull the headlight assembly from the vehicle.
Step 8: Disconnect the wiring harnesses (3) from the BACK of the headlight assembly.
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement headlight from Go-Parts, it likely includes new sockets and bulbs, as most of our models do. This saves you an installation step! However, if your particular model does not, simply twist and remove the sockets from the old assembly and mount them to the new one.
Step 9: Connect the wiring harnesses (3) to the back of the NEW headlight assembly.
Step 10: Mount the headlight by tightening the 10mm bolts (3).
Step 11: Reattach the bumper cover.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to tighten all 10mm bolts and re-engage all retaining clips.
