Step 2: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (4) that line the TOP of the front grille. Use the flathead screwdriver to depress the retaining clips (4) near the screws.
Step 3: Reach behind the grille to release the remaining clips. There are clips BEHIND/UNDERNEATH the headlight assemblies. You will have to reach behind the assembly to release these tabs.
Step 4: You can now remove the grille.
Step 5: Loosen and remove the 8mm bolts (4) that secure the headlight assembly to the vehicle. You can now remove the headlight assembly from the vehicle.
You may need to negotiate a mounting tab on the UNDERSIDE of the assembly during removal. You should be able to "wiggle" it out without too much trouble, however.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harness (1).
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement headlight from Go-Parts, it likely includes new bulbs and sockets, as most of our models do. This saves you an installation step! However, if your particular model does not, simply TWIST the sockets COUNTER CLOCKWISE to remove them from the old assembly and mount them to the new one.
Step 7: Connect the NEW assembly's wiring harness (1).
Before mounting the headlight, you may want to use the adjusting screws (2) on the back of the assembly to match that of the previous assembly. This ensures proper beam alignment!
Step 8: Mount the new headlight by tightening the 8mm bolts (4).
Step 9: Reattach the radiator grille by re-engaging the retaining clips and tightening the Phillips screws (4).
