Step 2: Loosen and remove the 2 retaining pins that hold the plastic radiator shield in place.
These clips use a Phillips screwdriver head, so simply turn them a bit, and you can pull out the center, disengaging the clip.
Step 3: Lift and remove the panel.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the two 10mm mounting bolts that secure the fan to the radiator.
Step 5: Disconnect the cooling fan's wiring harness.
This harness is located near the center of the fan.
Step 6: You can now pull the cooling fan from the vehicle.
You may need to push the hose that runs along the length of the radiator out of the way while pulling the fan. There is some "play" in this hose, so you shouldn't need to disconnect it.
Step 7: Mount the new cooling fan by moving it into position and tightening the two 10mm mounting bolts.
NOTE: The cooling fan assembly has guiding tabs on the bottom that fit perfectly into openings in the radiator. Use these tabs as your guide to ensure proper placement upon installation!
Step 8: Reattach the cooling fan's wiring harness.
Step 9: Reattach the protective panel that covers the radiator area by re-engaging the Phillips retaining clips.
