Look for the green petcock, and use the pliers to release the coolant.
NOTE: Have your catch pan in place before draining the radiator fluid! If the petcock is damaged, you can also drain the radiator by disconnecting the lower radiator hose.
Step 2: Locate the lower radiator hose clamp and release the clip using the pliers. This will also release coolant if not already drained, so be sure to be prepared for the drainage!
Step 3: Using the 15mm wrench or socket, loosen the "tensioner"┬Ł to allow for belt removal.
Step 4: Remove the "tensioner"┬Ł with the 13mm socket, which grants access to the lower radiator hose's connection to your engine.
NOTE: If your belt appears worn, now would be a great time to replace it! After all, you already have the tensioner removed!
Step 5: Using the pliers, remove the clamp on the other end of the lower radiator hose.
Step 6: Remove the lower radiator hose.
Step 7: Attach the new radiator hose and move the clamps back into place.
NOTE: Some replacement radiator hoses may come with new, flathead tightening clamps. If your new hose has these, USE THEM! It will make the reattachment of the hose much easier. However, if it doesn't, your old clamps will do the job just fine.
Step 8: Be sure that the hose is not obstructed or touching any other components once you have it in place.
This ensures that you have properly placed the replacement hose.
Step 9: Reattach the belt tensioner and the belt.
Be sure that the belt is running diagonally and properly in place.
Step 10: Make one final check on the clamps to be sure that everything is securely in place.
Step 11: Wipe the area down to ensure that you can easily identify any leaks once you replace the coolant.
Step 12: Replace the coolant.
Run the vehicle, allowing it to reach its average operating temperature. Check the undercarriage for any dripping or loose clamps.
