Torx driver/Phillips head screwdriver (contingent on vehicle type)
Putty knife or door panel clip tool
Step 1: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry the "control panel" loose.
Removing the window/lock control panel is simple, as it will "pop" loose with a bit of prying. Be careful, however!
Step 2: Unplug all of the electrical connections on the back of the panel.
Step 3: Remove the two plastic covers found below the door handle, and remove the screws behind them.
Using a Torx head, you can unscrew the screws found behind the panels.
Step 4: Using either the "clip tool" or a putty knife, begin separating the attaching clips from the door.
These clips are not visible from the outside. Instead, you must slide the tool between the panel and the door frame, and slide it until you hit something. Once you do, gently pry the door back from the frame, and it will "pop" off. BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK ANY OF THE CLIPS!
Step 5: Disconnect the remaining plugs (attached to the speaker and door light).
The panel is now free of the vehicle.
NOTE: Be sure to double-check the attaching clips, as wear and tear can take a toll. They are easily replaced if you find that they require it.
