Step 3: Loosen and remove the thumb-screw that holds the trunk liner in place (over the tail light mounting area).
Step 4: Pull back the trunk liner, and unscrew the two thumb-screws that are now exposed.
Step 5: You can now pull the tail light assembly from the vehicle.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the tail light assembly.
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement tail light from Go-Parts, it likely includes new bulbs, sockets, and wiring, as most of our models do. This saves you an installation step! However, if your particular model does not, simply turn the sockets counter-clockwise, remove them, with the wiring harness, from the tail light, and attach them to the new assembly.
Step 7: Connect the wiring harness to the new tail light assembly.
Step 8: Secure the tail light assembly by tightening the 2 hand-screws inside the trunk area.
Step 9: Cover the area with the trunk liner, and secure it by tightening the final thumb-screw.
Step 10: If you have a trunk net, re-attach it.
