Step 2: Pry and remove the small trim panel on the backside of the interior door pull.
Step 3: Pry and remove the interior door pull/window control switch. Disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the back.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (3) exposed by removing the control switch.
Step 5: Loosen and remove the T25 screws (2) located on the bottom end of the interior door panel.
Step 6: Pry and remove the interior door panel.
A series of retaining clips holds the door panel to the vehicle. You will hear these clips "pop" as they disengage.
Step 7: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel.
Step 8: Disconnect the door handle cable from the back of the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses, as well.
Step 9: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 10: Pry and remove the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting area.
Step 11: Loosen and remove the T45 Torx screw (1) that holds the mirror to the vehicle.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror while removing this screw, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 12: Feed the wiring harness through the opening in the door frame, and mount the new side mirror by tightening the T45 mounting screw (1).
Step 13: Connect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 14: Reattach the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting area.
Step 15: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to re-engage the door handle locking cable, reconnect all wiring harnesses, and tighten all retaining screws and clips!
