Step 1: Using the 8mm wrench, disconnect the negative battery cable to avoid draining of the battery during the procedure.
Step 2: Open the vehicle's door and locate the small retaining pin that is near the door hinge, on the bottom portion of the interior door panel.
Step 3: Using a flathead screwdriver, gently pry the window switch-panel from the interior door panel and disconnect the wiring harnesses attached to the back.
NOTE: Some models may involve removing the switches from the plate, but this is easily done with a screwdriver.
Step 4: Remove the 2 screws that are exposed by removing the switch-plate.
Step 5: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry door handle bezel from the bottom and remove it.
Step 6: Using the flathead screwdriver, pry and remove the small trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting point.
Step 7: You can now remove the interior door panel.
Step 8: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 9: Remove the three 11mm retaining bolts that hold the mirror to the door.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto your mirror while removing the bolts, as you don't want to sweep up broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 10: Insert the wiring through the opening in the mounting area, and tighten the three 11mm bolts to secure the side mirror to the door.
Step 11: Connect the side mirror's wiring harness.
Step 12: Reattach the interior door panel, making sure to secure all screws and reattach all trim panels.
Step 13: Reconnect the switch-plate and secure it to the interior door panel.
Step 14: Re-engage the retaining clip near the bottom of the door. Be sure that you haven't missed any panels, screws, or bolts!
