Step 2: Lift and remove the trim panel that spans the width of the trunk (near the trunk latch).
Step 3: Pull the trunk liner back to expose the tail light's mounting area.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the thumb-screws (3) that hold the tail light to the vehicle.
Step 5: You can now remove the tail light from the vehicle.
Step 6: Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the tail light.
Step 7: Connect the wiring harness to the new tail light assembly.
Step 8: Mount the tail light by tightening the thumb-screws (3).
Step 9: Replace the trunk liner and trim panel.
