NOTE: If your vehicle is on the older end of the year spectrum listed above, removing the door panel may differ slightly. However, most of the steps should be close to the instructions below.
Step 2: Pry and remove the interior door lock's bezel.
Step 3: Pry and remove the trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting area.
Step 4: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.
Step 5: Pry and remove the retaining pin (1) near the door hinge.
Step 6: Remove the screw cover (1) near the door latch, exposing a Torx screw. Loosen and remove this screw.
Step 7: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) inside the interior door handle.
Step 8: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) inside the interior door pull.
Step 9: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (5) attached to the back of the door panel.
NOTE: The number of wiring harnesses may vary, given which accessories your vehicle has!
Step 10: Disengage the retaining clip (1) that secures the locking rod to the interior door handle. Loosen and remove the mounting bolt, and slide and remove the handle assembly.
Step 11: GENTLY peel back the water shield. Be careful not to tear it, as we'll need to reattach it later!
Step 12: Separate the power window switch from the door panel, and reconnect its wiring harness (1).
Step 13: Raise/lower the window using the switch (or your hands if the regulator/motor is completely broken until you can access the bolts (2) that secure the window pane to the regulator rail. Loosen and remove these bolts.
Step 14: CAREFULLY lift the pane from the regulator rail and secure it to the TOP of the window frame using the painter's tape.
Step 15: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (6) that secure the window regulator/motor to the door frame.
Step 16: Lower the window regulator track, if you can, and disconnect the regulator's wiring harness (1). You can now pull the regulator assembly from the door frame.
Step 17: Loosen and remove the mounting bolts (3) that secure the motor to the window regulator assembly. Mount the NEW motor to the regulator.
Step 18: Insert the new window regulator into the door frame. Secure it by tightening the 10mm mounting bolts (6). Connect the assembly's wiring harness (1).
Step 19: Either raise the regulator track to the window pane or SLOWLY lower the pane onto the track. Secure the pane to the regulator using the clamps.
Step 20: Reattach the water shield and interior door handle. Re-engage the locking rod to the door handle.
Step 21: To reattach the interior door panel, reattach the panel light bulb, seat heater, and speaker harness.
Step 22: Slide the door panel onto the door frame. Tighten the 7mm bolts (2) to secure it.
Step 23: Reconnect the wiring harnesses (3) to the window control switch-plate, and "snap" it back into place.
Step 24: Reattach the locking button.
Step 25: Reattach the small trim panel near the side mirror mount.
