Step 1: Using the 8mm wrench, disconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable.
Step 2: Open the vehicle's door.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (2) inside the interior door pull.
Step 4: Pry and remove the interior door handle/power window control bezel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (3 or 4) from the back of the bezel. You can now depress the retaining tabs that secure the switches to the bezel, and remove them as well.
To remove the power window switch, you will need to loosen and remove the mounting screws (2).
Step 5: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) exposed by removing the bezel. Also, loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) located in the bottom REAR corner of the panel.
Step 6: You can now LIFT and remove the interior door panel.
Step 7: GENTLY peel back the water shield. Be careful not to TEAR IT!
Step 8: By reaching into the door frame, you can pull the door lock actuator free from its position. Disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the actuator.
You will need to depress the tabs (2) that secure the actuator to the mounting bracket. They can be difficult to see, so be sure to have a mirror or flashlight handy!
Step 9: The actuator should now be completely free from the vehicle.
Step 10: Connect the wiring harness to the new door lock actuator, and "snap" it into place.
Be sure that the bracket tabs secure the actuator in place! The actuator should fit BEHIND the window guide.
Step 11: With the actuator now securely in place, reattach the water shield.
Step 12: To reattach the interior door panel, use the guiding tabs to ensure proper placement, move the panel into position, and tighten the Phillips screws (2).
Step 13: Connect the wiring harnesses (4) to the switches and attach them to the interior door handle/window control bezel.
Step 14: Tighten the remaining Phillips screws and reconnect the negative battery cable.
