How do you Change, Replace, or Install Broken 2000-2005 Buick LeSabre, Pontiac Bonneville Battery Replacement

Fits Years: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005


Tools required:

  • 8mm socket/ratchet


Step 1: Lift the back bench seat firmly to disengage it from the vehicle. Lift it from its position to expose the vehicle's battery.

Step 2: Using the 8mm socket/ratchet, loosen the battery terminals (2) and disconnect both of them from the battery.

Step 3: You can now lift and remove the battery from the vehicle.

Step 4: Connect the terminals (2) to the new battery.

Step 5: Reattach the rear bench seat. Be sure that the retaining tabs are securely holding the bench.


Be sure that you don't reattach the seat without pulling the seat belts out!
