Step 1: Lift the vehicle's back seat and disconnect the negative battery cable using the 8mm wrench.

Step 3: Unscrew the oil fill cap, and remove the engine cover.
Step 4: Disconnect the alternator's wiring harness (1).
Step 5: Pull back the rubber boot on the lead connection on the SIDE of the alternator. Loosen and remove the 10mm bolt (1) to disconnect the lead.
Step 6: Loosen and remove the 15mm mounting bolts (3) that secure the alternator to the engine.
Step 7: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolt (1) that secures the brace across the rear of the alternator.
This bolt is located just behind the engine, near the alternator.
Step 8: You can now pull the alternator from the vehicle.
Step 9: Mount the new alternator by tightening the 15mm bolts (3) and 10mm brace bolt (1).
Step 10: Connect the alternator's wiring harness (1).
Step 11: Tighten the 10mm bolt (1) to secure the wiring lead to the alternator. Cover the connection with the rubber boot.
Step 12: Route the belt around the proper pulleys using the diagram provided near the radiator, on the UNDERSIDE of the hood, or in the owner's manual. Once the belt is routed correctly, tighten the 15mm tensioner bolt (1) to secure the belt's position.
NOTE: The belt should be taut, but not overly tight or stretched.
