Step 1: Open the car door and pull the attaching hook to free the interior panel from the door frame.
Step 2: Detach the wiring harness.
By pushing in the tabs, you can unplug the wiring harness.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the attaching bolt to separate the mirror from the vehicle.
Behind the wiring harness, you will notice a 10mm bolt. By loosening and removing this bolt, you can remove the mirror from the vehicle's door.
NOTE: BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE ATTACHING BOLT, AS IT CAN SLIP DOWN INSIDE THE DOOR, REQUIRING DOOR-PANEL REMOVAL TO RETRIEVE IT!
Step 4: Remove the final screw using a T-20 screwdriver attachment.
Located just to the right and a bit below the wiring harness, you'll find a T-20 screw. Remove this screw to finalize the mirror's removal from the vehicle door.
Step 5: Completely remove the mirror from the door.
Step 6: Feed the electronic wiring harness of the new mirror through the hole to position it for reattachment with the other wiring socket.
Step 7: Attach the new mirror to the vehicle door.
Align the two tabs on the attaching portion of the new mirror with the respective holes in the vehicle door. With some light pressure, the upper-most tab should "pop" into the door frame.
Step 8: Secure the mirror to the door.
Using the 10mm socket wrench, replace the attaching bolt to the door, securing the mirror to the door frame.
NOTE: WE RECOMMEND TAPING THE BOLT TO THE SOCKET TO ENSURE THAT IT DOES NOT FALL DOWN INSIDE THE DOOR FRAME!
Use the T-20 socket screwdriver to replace the forward-most screw in the side-mirror assembly.
Step 9: Reconnect the electric socket.
Simply re-attach the wiring harness ends to ensure that all electric mirror functions are operating properly after replacement.
Step 10: Re-attach the inner mirror panel.
Line up all of the tabs and gently snap the interior mirror panel back into place.
