Step 1: Open the rear door and remove the entire trunk panel.
There are small clips attached to it that you will have to remove. They slide off of their respective studs.
Step 2: Pull the interior trim panel away and remove the access panel that covers the tail light assembly's mounting area.
Step 3: Using the 10mm socket/ratchet, remove the two elongated nuts.
Step 4: You can now pull the tail light assembly from the vehicle.
NOTE: If you are simply interested in replacing a bulb, you can push the bulb in and turn it counter-clockwise to remove it. If you are looking to replace the entire assembly due to damage of some sort, move on to Step 5.
Step 5: Remove the bulb sockets from the tail light assembly.
Step 6: Remove the retaining pin that holds the harness to the tail light casing.
Step 7: Insert the bulbs into the new tail light assembly and secure them by twisting them into place.
Step 8: Secure the wiring harness by using the retaining clip that holds it to the assembly.
Step 9: Move the assembly into place and secure it by tightening the two 10mm bolts.
Step 10: Replace the covering trim panels and secure the trunk liner.
Step 11: Reattach the small hooks that hold the trunk liner upright.
