Fits Years: 2004, 2005, 2006

Tools required:

  • 10mm socket/ratchet

  • 5/8 spark plug socket/ratchet with extension

Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.

Step 2: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolt that secures the ignition coil to the top of the valve cover.

Step 3: Disconnect the ignition coil's wiring harness (1).

Step 4: Lift and remove the ignition coil from the vehicle.

Step 5: Using the 5/8 spark plug socket/ratchet with extension, loosen and remove the spark plug (1).

NOTE: Most spark plugs come already "gapped". If you'd like to double check the gapping, use a gauge to gap them to .044.

Step 6: Insert the spark plug into the socket, and insert it into place. Tighten the spark plug FIRMLY, but don't OVERTIGHTEN!

Step 7: Insert the ignition coil into place, and secure it by tightening the 10mm bolt (1).

Step 8: Connect the ignition coil's wiring harness (1).

Step 9: Repeat this process for the remaining spark plugs.
