Step 2: Pry and remove the trim panel near the side mirror mount.
Step 3: Pry and remove the trim panel INSIDE the interior door handle. Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1).
Step 4: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) inside the door pull cup.
Step 5: Lift the arm rest pad. Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1).
Step 6: Using the Phillips screw, remove the retaining pin (1) near the BACK/TOP of the door panel.
Step 7: Pry and lift the arm rest/switch plate. Disconnect the wiring harness (1).
Step 8: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (2) exposed by removing the arm rest. Remove the pull cup. Loosen and remove the final Phillips screw (1).
Step 9: Firmly pull the interior door panel from the door frame.
A series of retaining clips secures the door panel to the door frame. You will hear them "pop"┬Ł as they disengage.
Step 10: Disconnect the wiring harness (1) from the back of the door panel. Also, disengage the locking cables (2) from the back of the door handle.
Step 11: The door panel should now be completely free from the vehicle.
Step 12: Disconnect the side mirror's wiring harness (1).
Step 13: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (3) that secure the mirror to the vehicle. You can now remove the mirror.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't want to clean up broken glass from your driveway or garage floor!
Step 14: Mount the new mirror by tightening the 10mm bolts (3). Connect the mirror's wiring harness (1).
Step 15: Reattach the door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Re-engage the locking cables (2) and connect the wiring harness. With a FIRM, but not too firm strike near each retaining pin, you can "snap"┬Ł the panel back into place. Tighten all Phillips screws, reconnect the window switch, and attach the trim panels.
