Step 1: Remove the center-bar that stretches across the front of the vehicle (usually Chrome).
To do this, gently pry it away with a flathead screwdriver to disengage the clips. Do this on each side, and the bar will come free from the vehicle.
NOTE: The clips that hold the front bar in place (it has the Chevy logo on it) are plastic and can break easily! Be careful during removal and re-installation!
Step 2: Remove the two 8mm retaining bolts that are on the top of the headlight assembly.
Step 3: Remove the 10mm retaining bolt that is located on the interior portion of the headlight assembly. It's near the bottom of the headlight assembly, but accessible from the top!
This bolt requires the use of the extension, as it is down inside the engine area a bit.
Step 4: Pull up on the engaging tab located on top of the headlight assembly and pull it from the vehicle.
Step 5: Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the back of the headlight assembly.
NOTE: If you purchased your replacement headlight assembly from Go-Parts, it likely comes with new bulbs (as most of our models do). This saves you time, as you can simply move onto reconnecting the harnesses and installing the new assembly. However, if it doesn't have new bulbs, you can easily twist the bulb sockets and remove them from the old assembly!
Step 6: Connect the wiring harnesses to the back of the new headlight assembly.
Step 7: Install your new headlight assembly and secure it by engaging the locking tab and tightening the two 8mm and one 10mm retaining bolts.
Step 8: Reattach the chrome "front bar" by gently snapping the retaining tabs into place.
