Step 2: Using the small flathead screwdriver, pry and open the small panels (2) that covers the Phillips mounting screws.
One is beneath the interior door pull. The other is located inside the interior door handle.
Step 3: Loosen and remove the Phillips screws (2 total) behind these two small panels.
Step 4: Using the Phillips screwdriver, depress the center of the circular retaining clip and remove it.
This clip is located near the door hinge. By depressing the center, you can disengage the clip and pull it from the door.
Step 5: Pry and remove the triangular trim panel that covers the mirror's mounting point.
Step 6: Pry and remove the window control switch-plate. Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the switch-plate.
Step 7: Pry and remove the interior door panel.
There are retaining clips secure the interior door panel to the frame. You will hear them "pop" as they disengage.
Step 8: Disconnect the mirror's wiring harness.
Step 9: Loosen and remove the 10mm mounting bolts (3) that secure the mirror to the door frame.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the side mirror while removing these bolts, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 10: Feed the wiring through the opening in the door frame and mount the new side mirror by tightening the 10mm mounting bolts (3).
Step 11: Connect the mirror's wiring harness.
Step 12: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure that all the retaining clips "snap" into place, securing the door. Also, be sure that you reconnect the window control switch-plate's wiring harness and tighten the Phillips screws. Close the small door panels (that cover the Phillips screws) to complete the reattachment.
Step 13: Reattach the small trim plate that covers the mirror's mounting area.
Step 14: Re-engage the circular retaining clip near the door hinge.
