NOTE: This particular installation is specifically for 2006-2008 models. However, it should be ALMOST exactly the same for 2009-2011. Any slight differences should be readily apparent and easy to bridge.
10mm socket/ratchet with extension
5mm Hex Socket (if necessary)
Flathead screwdriver (or clip removal tool)
Step 1: Open the vehicle's hood.
Step 2: Pry and remove the retaining clips (4) that secure the radiator shroud to the vehicle.
Step 3: Pry and remove the retaining clips (10) that secure the front bumper cover to the vehicle.
Step 4: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) located inside EACH wheel well (where the cover meets the vehicle).
Step 5: Loosen and remove the hex bolts (2) located in the front grille area. These bolts are the final bolts to remove. You can now remove the front bumper cover from the vehicle.
Step 6: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (3) that secure the headlight mounting brackets to the assembly. You can now remove the brackets.
Step 7: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (2) that secure the headlight assembly to the vehicle. You can now remove the assembly.
Step 8: Disconnect the wiring harnesses (3) from the back of the headlight assembly.
NOTE: If you ordered your replacement headlight from Go-Parts, it likely includes new bulbs and sockets, as most of our models do. This saves you an installation step! However, if your particular model does not, simply twist and remove the sockets/bulbs from the old assembly and attach them to the new one.
Step 9: Connect the wiring harnesses (3) to the new headlight assembly. Be sure to tighten the 10mm bolts (3) to secure the mounting bracket. You can now mount the headlight by tightening the 10mm bolts (2).
Step 10: Reattach the front bumper cover by tightening the Phillips screws (2) and re-engaging the retaining clips (10).
Step 11: Reattach the radiator shroud by re-engaging the retaining clips (4).
