Step 2: Pry and remove the rubber mat inside the interior door pull. Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1).
Step 3: Pry and remove the screw cover (1) inside the interior door handle. Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1).
Step 4: Depress the center of the retaining pin (1) near the HINGE side of the panel. Pry and remove this pin.
Step 5: Pry and remove the trim panel that covers the side mirror mount. Disconnect the wiring harness (1) if you have the speaker upgrade.
Step 6: Pry and lift the power window switch plate. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (2) from the underside of this panel.
Step 7: You can now pry the BOTTOM of the panel away from the door frame. Once this is done, you can LIFT and remove the interior door panel. Disengage the locking cables and any remaining wiring harnesses from the back of the panel to completely free it from the vehicle.
A series of retaining pins secures the door panel to the door frame. You will hear them "pop" as they disengage.
Step 8: Disconnect the mirror's wiring harness (1).
Step 9: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (3) that secure the side mirror to the door frame.
NOTE: Be sure to hold onto the mirror while removing the final bolt, as you don't want to sweep broken glass from your garage floor or driveway!
Step 10: Mount the new side mirror to the door frame by tightening the 10mm bolts (3). Connect the mirror's wiring harness (1).
Step 11: Reattach the interior door panel.
Simply reverse the removal process. Be sure to re-engage the locking cables, reconnect all the wiring harnesses, and tighten the Phillips screws!
