When buying aftermarket auto lights, ask your seller which of these brands you're getting:
PART QUALITY: Very high
This brand boasts the highest grade of materials, in addition to a durable construction that helps to protect your investment years into the future. The components are long-lasting, and are not prone to cracks or fogging like many other inferior brands.
PART QUALITY: High
DEPO parts are well-constructed and quite durable. Though not the highest grade we carry, these parts are a great blend of price and quality. Over time, DEPO parts will exhibit signs of wear, and will require replacing a bit sooner than higher-quality brands.
PART QUALITY: Fair
Eagle Eyes replacement parts will get the job done. They do not have the same high-quality construction seen with other parts, but hold up fairly well over time and keep your vehicle on the road. Eagle Eyes headlights and tail lights may see stress fractures or fogging at a higher frequency than other brands we carry.
DOE/SAE Compliance – FMVSS 108
Auto parts manufacturers must adhere to a strict set of guidelines in order to meet the criteria laid out by FMVSS 108. Any lights or reflectors that adorn vehicles traveling on public roads MUST adhere to the regulations; otherwise, the manufacturer is subject to a slew of penalties.
Some of the FMVSS 108 guidelines include:
While the regulations are designed primarily for manufacturers, consumers must always be sure that any lights that they install on their vehicles also meet these regulations. Citations can be issued for products that do not meet the minimum regulatory requirements.
All of the parts carried on Go-Parts.com are FMVSS 108 compliant, as the designs have endured extensive testing. Our manufacturers only produce replacement lights that meet the highest of industry standards, ensuring on-road safety and reducing the probability of breakdowns in component construction.
Just wanted you to know that I was pleasantly surprised with my "Go-Parts" experience. I rarely buy online, and now that I'm older, I rarely work on my car. Recently, though, I could hear the bearing going out on the radiator cooling fan on my 2006 PT Cruiser. I finally decided to fix it myself. I'm glad I did.
After buying a repair manual, I could see the repair would be a bit challenging. The auto parts store at the corner was asking over $200 for the part, and I'm sure the dealer would be asking well over $350. Add in labor and all the other extras they would want to charge me for (drain and flush radiator, etc.) and I anticipated the dealer charging over $600.
I needed the part soon--it was getting pretty noisy and decided to quit driving the car on Wednesday. I ordered the part on Thursday afternoon. FedEx delivered it on Saturday morning. Perfect! With delivery, the fan cost me just over $100 from Go-Parts. By Saturday evening, I was back on the road. The experience could not have been any better. Unfortunately, I didn't find the flyer about making a video until after I was done! Probably just as well--I had a lot to learn. (o:
I'm glad you're interested in customer satisfaction. It is the key to a successful business.
Pontiac Grand Am Headlights
The Pontiac Grand Am holds a special place in the hearts of many Americans, and that's why it was one of the venerable makers' longest running lines up until its demise a few years ago. The Grand Am began life as a stylish mid sized sedan, and continued with that theme throughout its many redesigns. Always a stylish and pretty car, the model changed considerably over its thirty year lifetime.
While the earliest models relied on mighty 6.5 or 7.4 liter V8 engines, the latter day models utilized a modern and very impressive range of engines, from a 2.2liter four cylinder to a bigger 3.4 liter six. All provided excellent power, with the latter ones also very economical - something that can not be claimed by those muscle cars from the early 1970's!
The usual Pontiac refinements were offered across a wide variety of different specifications and trim levels, and with over thirty years of manufacture to account for it is little surprise that there are still many Grand Ams of all ages on the roads today.
Headlights may need to be replacing for a number of reasons; they may be broken in a collision or cracked by debris, and whatever the specification or age of your model, you need new Grand Am headlights when they are broken. Go-Parts.com has many years of valuable experience in the field of replacement parts, and uses renowned manufacturers such as KOYO, TYC and DEPO as suppliers.
