How do you Change, Replace, or Install Broken 1995-1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, Pontiac Sunfire Intake Hose Replacement

Fits years: 1995, 1996, 1997

All Chevrolet Cavalier for sale Tools required:
  • Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Disengage the clip (1) that holds the cable to the intake hose.

Step 2: Using the flathead screwdriver, loosen the clamps (2 total) at each end of the air intake hose.

Step 3: You can now slide and remove the hose at BOTH ends.

NOTE: Transfer the airflow sensor from the old hose to the new hose. Also, you will need to remove the clamps (2) from the old hose and attach them to the new hose. Finally, detach the cable retaining clip (1) from the old hose and attach it to the new one!

Step 4: Attach the hose (at each end) by sliding it onto each component and tightening the clamps (2) with a flathead screwdriver.

Step 5: Re-engage the retaining clip (1) that holds the cable to the intake hose.
