How do you Change, Replace, or Install Broken 2003-2006 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra Front Door Panel (Interior) Replacement

Fits years: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006

All Chevrolet Silverado for sale Tools required:

  • 7mm socket/driver

  • Flathead screwdriver

  • Torx Driver (small)

  • Needle-Nose Pliers

Step 1: Open the vehicle's door.

Step 2: Pry and remove the interior door lock's bezel.

Step 3: Pry and remove the trim panel that covers the side mirror's mounting area.

Step 4: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.

Step 5: Pry and remove the retaining pin (1) near the door hinge.

Step 6: Remove the screw cover (1) near the door latch, exposing a Torx screw. Loosen and remove this screw.

Step 7: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) inside the interior door handle.

Step 8: Loosen and remove the 7mm bolt (1) inside the interior door pull.

Step 9: You can now lift and remove the interior door panel. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (5) attached to the back of the door panel.

NOTE: The number of wiring harnesses may vary, given which accessories your vehicle has!

Step 10: To reattach the interior door panel, simply reverse the removal process.

Be sure to reattach all wiring harnesses, tighten the 7mm bolts (2), and the Torx screw (1). Also, be sure to reattach the trim panels and bezels!
