Fits years: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009

All Chevrolet Equinox for sale Tools required:

  • 10mm socket/ratchet with extension

  • Phillips screwdriver

  • Flathead screwdriver

  • Door Panel Clip Tool (or putty knife)

Step 1: Open the vehicle's rear door.

Step 2: Pry and remove the trim panel that runs the length of the arm rest/door pull.

Step 3: Loosen and remove the 10mm bolts (2) exposed by removing the trim panel.

Step 4: Loosen and remove the Phillips screw (1) located inside the interior door handle.

Step 5: Pry and remove the interior door handle's bezel.

Step 6: Using the door panel clip tool (or putty knife), pry and remove the interior door panel from the door frame.

By sliding the tool between the door panel and the frame, slide along until you feel a retaining pin. When you do, pry outward to "pop" it free. Work your way around the door in the same fashion.

Step 7: Pry and remove the trim panel near the corner of the rear window.

Step 8: You can now pull the interior door panel from the vehicle.

Step 9: To reattach the interior door panel, move it into position, and with a FIRM strike near each retaining pin, "snap" them all into place.

Step 10: Reattach the trim panels near the window and interior door handle.

Step 11: Tighten the Phillips screw inside the interior door panel.

Step 12: Tighten the 10mm bolts (2).

Step 13: Reattach the trim panel to the arm rest.
