Need a no-compromise replacement suspension lower ball joint for a hardworking vehicle? Dorman RD chassis products are engineered specifically for severe-duty service applications. The RD on the packaging for this exclusive line of components stands for "rugged duty." That includes vehicles that must reliably perform in off-road work, heavy hauling, towing and other grueling conditions. The RD line is also ideal for emergency vehicles that require maximum reliability, like ambulances and off-road rescue trucks. RD ball joint housings are made of quenched and tempered steel rather than simple normalized steel and finished with an exclusive protective coating, resulting in a more durable and corrosion-resistant part. Necessary hardware is included and also features a corrosion-resistant coating. Where applicable, to streamline installation and help ensure that lubrication stays where it has to be, we pre-load every joint with premium grease in specially-designed grease boots with molded-in standoffs. With regular maintenance, RD steering and suspension parts are designed and manufactured to outperform and outlast anything else anything else in the automotive aftermarket. When vehicle downtime is not an option, this lower ball joint is a great choice to replace failed original equipment on specified vehicles.
