Rein OE Quality Haldex system clutch feeder pumps are a direct replacement for the original units and come complete with an oil filter, seal and mounting bolts. A clutch feeder pump is a vital component of today's highly complex Haldex AWD drivetrain systems. Its job is to engage the rear axle the moment the computer senses traction loss at the front axle. The system is designed to engage the pump for 2 seconds in 20 second intervals keeping itself constantly primed, and as a result, causing the motor brushes to wear out over time. A second cause of failure is a clogged system filter placing additional strain on the motor resulting in premature burn-out. Replacing the coupling oil and filter, as often as the driving conditions call for, will ensure maximum feeder pump and Haldex clutch pack life.
